I admit that I was a little daunted about this release and for some odd reason ended up completely overlooking it upon the seperate releases of last year. BIG MISTAKE!

I've heard a lot of demos and rarities albums over the years, especially as of late all those remastered versions of classic albums with bonus cds, books or DVD's etc. Some are OK, others are substandard but prior to 4 Track Mind I was yet to witness a release of it's kind that would truly blow me away - thankfully the bass assassin once again leaves me shellshocked by managing to pull off another truly phenomenal release.

It has been said that the typical demos album tends to reach out to the most ardent collectors of that particular band or musician. However 4 Track Mind also offers the perfect introduction to Alan's music and as such is not just essential listening for the collectors but also those who are experiencing his music for the first time. Ironically for the new listereners, by purchasing this release you also get a collectors item!

So yes, hallelujah! For once we have an album of demos that are as strong as any commercial AD album which only goes to prove the musical talent that exists and always has done - this is NOT your standard demos and b sides release. It is a true testament to a musician who is not just ahead of his game now but who has always been.

I always do my best for y'all one reason being I,m as pee'd off with the poor quality of certain releases by a certain person as you all probably are!
