I still remember going out and buying both the vinyl gatefold edition and the cd gatefold version as Hawkwind were such an influential and inspiring band during this era that i ate, breathed and slept hawkwind.......this album catches the band at a great period....alan davey's pounding bass keeps the space rock machine hurtling into outer space as the sonic attack blasts out classic HW tracks such as "quark" and "right stuff"....a classic must have album from a classic Hawkwind line up...if only i had a time machine instead of a silver one......Ahhhh.....

alan,

The cover was completely designed by John Chase, the superb photographer and all-round top bloke! Remember - he was a regular at all the gigs from 1991 through to about 2006. The set was recorded at Slough on the 1993 winter tour. I sent you the DVD of the same gig, complete with the full mixing desk recording. You are on the original vocals to Golden Void, before Mr Brock overdubbed his vocals for the release.

Seeya at the next gig!
